First Mediterranean Festival in Koper - Knitwear Designer Igor Galas Wins

I wish their main page was in English, but oh well. I love pictures too. It is so cool to see Knitwear to gain more and more popularity. Igor Galas, a Croatian Knitwear designer won the prize for the best collection.
His collection presents the unique style, wearable designs (I love Sandra but not sure where I'd wear her stuff) and such obvious hard work. Couldn't find his website, unfortunately, but found some cool video from Fashion Academy Award.

Arts of Fashion 2008 Masters Class Series

Not quite Sandra Backlund but Sandra-inspired students showcasing their knitwear. The video is not super recent(Nov 2008), we just stumbled upon it on youtube between the reviews of knitting machines and G20 Summit news.

Wow - 3D Knit Dresses

Found these crazy awesome dresses through Twitter post.  The knitted dresses are by  Fashion designer Sandra Blacklund. Again, if only I had more time, would love to try something like this, hmmm maybe for work Christmas party. After all, knittles spent at least 187 hours in the month of October on fulfilling custom orders for Etsy and local lovers of handcrafted knit hats.

If only I had the patience...

To knit something larger than a neckwarmer, or hat. I've tried, have sweaters and vests (baby no less) started, sitting in my knitting box, still on it's needles. Here are a few designs that inspire me, and when I have a minute or two (or a few hours or days) to myself, maybe I'll start it, and perhaps....a very huge perhaps, I'll actually finish it. A girl can dream can't she?

Top Down Garter Stitch Yoke Vest by Naganasu

love this design, so casually chic, like when bedhead was all the rage and you'd spend hard earned money on product that would make you look like you haven't washed your hair in weeks.

the yarn for this project was bought over a year ago, and do you think i've even attempted it yet? dust on the bag says no.

it did, however inspire me, and that's how the fabulous unravelled hat was born. It's still one of my favorite hats to make.
